Sam Eckelmann has nearly 25 years of experience in operations, consulting, and software development for the financial services industry. In 1991, he formed his own consulting practice, the predecessor to E/W Group that was founded in 1993. Sam is a Managing Partner with E/W Group, and has performed numerous engagements for some of the World’s top financial services firms and service providers including FIDELITY, PUTNAM INVESTMENTS, and SALOMON SMITH BARNEY. These engagements have covered functional areas such as Futures and Options trading, order management and trading room systems for international equity funds and global fixed income portfolios, data warehousing, and broker compensation. This experience, coupled with Sam’s background in capital markets and investment accounting systems, was the genesis of the BasisPoint® design. Sam is also President of efSolutions, a majority owned subsidiary of E/W Group, offering a suite of software applications including BasisPoint.

From 1986 to 1991, Sam was with SS&C TECHNOLOGIES where he was Managing Director, responsible for directing the ongoing development and maintenance of the CAMRA™ investment accounting system. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Director of Compliance at ADVEST INC., and the Director of Trading and Operations for J.S. BARR & CO. Sam is a qualified securities broker and NASD Principal, and holds an economics degree from Cornell University.

Laird Wiggin has over 35 years of experience in operations, consulting, and software development for the financial services industry. Laird is a Managing Partner with E/W Group, is expert in policy management and shareholder accounting systems and operations, has been responsible for the development of several successful systems, and has managed several account conversions exceeding 1.3 million mutual fund shareholder accounts representing assets of over $8 billion. He was the lead designer and developer of the Variable Products Administration System (VPAS™), currently marketed to the life insurance industry, and he was President and CEO of MCCAMISH SYSTEMS, LLC, the provider of services built around this software application.

Prior to co-founding E/W Group in 1993, Laird was President of MONARCH SERVICE COMPANY, which provided new business, underwriting, administrative, licensing and reinsurance services to life and annuity products offered by MERRILL LYNCH and its captive sales force. Prior to that, he led two different operating divisions of DST SYSTEMS where he founded and expanded its Insurance Services Division, creating the largest provider of outsourcing services to the life insurance industry at the time. Laird is a qualified NASD Principal, is a graduate of Clark University, and holds an MBA from Rockhurst College.

Richard Montes has over 13 years of experience in project management, software development and consulting in the financial services industry. He joined E/W Group in 1998 as Consulting Practice Director and is now the Managing Director of financial services consulting. He is an experienced project manager specializing in full project lifecycle methodologies. He has a wide range of experience in large-scale systems implementations for both the Commercial Banking and Brokerage institutions. Rich is currently managing an enterprise-wide commercial loan implementation project at the BANK OF TOKYO-MITSUBISHI under a “preferred vendor” relationship. He currently directs and manages 15- 20 management consultants along with a fluctuating staff of technical resources assisting numerous clients in satisfying their technical staffing requirements.

Previously while at E/W Group, Rich was engaged at the INDUSTRIAL BANK OF JAPAN were he created a “Project Promotion Team” to manage all system teams activities and report status to management. He developed all testing and system acceptance methodologies used to accept Phase 1 and Phase 2 of a $200 million Global System implementation, the scope of which was to implement a global solution to replace the bank’s consolidated back-office and general ledger systems. Rich also prepared project statuses and presentations, and made the final project presentation to the client’s President, CIO and Senior Management team.

Prior to joining E/W Group, Rich was with KPMG CONSULTING where while at Deutsche Bank he was a project leader of the Equities Q/A team. He developed a methodology to deliver a ‘Straight Thru Processing’ testing database, creating a best practice repository of reusable business objects for User Acceptance Testing of EMU, Year 2000 and future system enhancements for the equities processing systems. He was also at SMITH BARNEY where he supervised many system projects in the Capital Markets Division including the implementation of the Commission Systems - Front End Control System. He followed a full project lifecycle using COOPERS & LYBRAND’S Summit-D methodology. Rich also worked at PAINE WEBER and KIDDER PEABODY supporting their Investment Banking and Firm Trading systems. Rich attended the State University of New York, and holds a degree in Economics.

Pradeep Vashisth has over 8 years of experience in software application and technology development. He joined E/W Group in 1999 and is currently Director of Application Development for Investment Systems with affiliate efSolutions where he established and oversees application architecture and development for BasisPoint™. Pradeep is expert in systems design, analysis, full application development lifecycle and implementation. Previously, Pradeep was with AOL-TIME WARNER where he managed the application design, analysis, development, and implementation of new systems that replaced those on mainframes for internal/back office accounting, and sales forecasting for hundreds of affiliated different publishing companies.

Previously, Pradeep was with ST. PAUL REINSURANCE where he was a Senior System Analyst developing and maintaining a Claims and Accounting module; was a System Analyst with New York-based SIGMA SIX, where he provided technical support and fine-tuning of a first of its kind Transact-SQL debugger tool (now known as XPEDITER/SQL) for Sybase and Microsoft SQL Server applications; and was with a prominent Indian company as development team leader for various application systems. Pradeep holds a Masters degree in Engineering from University of Rhode Island, and is Microsoft Certified Professional. Before coming to United States, Pradeep earned his under graduate degree in Engineering from the University of Mangalore in India.

Teri L. Henry, CMA, CFM, CFA has over 8 years of experience in operations and consulting for the financial services industry, and joined E/W Group in 2002 as Consulting Practice Director. She combines extensive project management, systems implementation and analytic skills with broad based domestic and international equity, fixed income, asset backed, repo and reverse, and derivative exposure to support business initiatives for investment advisors, insurance companies, banks, and corporate treasuries.

Most recently, Teri was with SS&C TECHNOLOGIES, INC., where she served as Vice President of Client Services. In that role, she was responsible for all aspects of client services (sales support, implementation, ongoing support, and general consulting) for the CAMRA™ investment accounting system, and the Antares™ portfolio modeling and trade order management product. Teri also held the position of Director, Center of Excellence where she was responsible for the creation of the certification training programs for CAMRA and Antares.

Previously, Teri was the Senior Manager of Investment Accounting for JACKSON NATIONAL LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY, where also she managed the implementation of a new investment accounting system. Prior to that, she was with DELTA DENTAL PLAN OF MICHIGAN as the Financial Team Leader – Budgets and Reports, and again responsible for the implementation of a new investment accounting system. Teri also has five years of corporate financial management experience, primarily with GENERAL ELECTRIC. Teri holds a BA in Finance from Michigan State University, and is a Certified Management Accountant, Certified in Financial Management, and a Chartered Financial Analyst as well as being a graduate of GE’s Financial Management Program.
